COUNCILMEN adopted a resolution Monday night, honoring Louis C. Dwyer Jr. for six years' service as solicitor to the Zoning Board of. Adjustment. * Dwyer resigned that post Dec. 31 A spokesperson for the zoners said Friday that the board is interviewing candidates to replace Dwyer and may name a newsolicitor as early as the board's 7 p.m. Feb. 5 meeting. FEB. 5 IS THE zoners' first regular meeting this year but they're slated for a special public session with township planners 7 p.m. Jan. 31 to discuss local groundwater problems. The joining meeting will be held in Township Hall. 2600 Bayshore Rd., Villas. According to the zoners' 1985 schedule, they'll also meet at the same time and place on first Tuesdays of each month except in November when they'll meet Nov. 12. BESIDES THE possible solicitor appointment, zoners are slated to hear two applications Feb. 5 for construction of singlefamily homes on undersized R-3 lots in Cape May Beach, one between Dune and Beachplumb on Bay Drive, the other at 3702 Bybrook Dr. Also scheduled for review then are two other applications for hardship variances to build singlefamily homes on undersized lots that were tabled during the zoners' Jan. 8 meeting. One concerns a property along Holly Drive, Bayshore East, North Cape May. The other concerns a tract at Sheridan Drive and Warren Lane, Fishing Creek. AT THEIR JAN. 8 meeting, zoners approved hardship variances for single-family homes on undersized lots along Mayflower Avenue, Cold Spring (off Seashore Road, south of the Cape May Canal); Del-View Road, Cape May .Beach; Angus and Anderson avenues, Erma. Zoners also approved ■hardship variances then for additions to buildings on Tower View Road and on Corson Lane, both in Erma Park. TOMORROW NIGHT at 7:30 in Township Hall, municipal planners are scheduled to review Bayshore Road (bounded by it, Roseanne Avenue, Deborah Street and Hiedi * Avenue) into 49 lots, six of them which may Ije undersized. Also on that agenda will be any applications that could not be heard during the planners' meeting last week. PLANNERS HAVE revised the meeting schedule posted here last week. According to the revision, they'll hold regular sessions on third Thursdays. Work review sessions are slated on second Tuesdays while regular work sessions will be first, fourth and fifth Thursdays.
All meetings will be held at 7:30 p.m. in Township Hall. COUNCILMAN Joseph Lonergan and his wife, Anne, became grandparents for the fourth time this month when their daughter, Carol Ann, and son-in-law, Roger, announced the birth of their first-born, Eric Ellis York, in Cgder Falls, Iowa, Jan. 11.
"He's the smallest," the proud grandfather said of his fourth grandson who weighed in at nine pounds, four ounces. One of five Lonergan children, Carol is a teacher; her husband works for the U.S. Postal
Service. REMINDER - Polls will be open 5-9 p.m. next Wednesday at Lower Township Consolidated School, Cold Spring, and at Villas and Town Bank fire houses, when voters will
decide two ballot questions affecting repairs for Consolidated. Approval of one question will authorize Lower Township School District to transfer $400,000 in surplus for the repairs while approval of the second question would- allow the district to bond another $400,000 for the repairs.
