V'ball Lead Taken By Breakwater

CAPE MAY — Bowman Builders defeated Cape May Mobile Estates three games to none in recreation volleyball league action. The scores were 15-8, 15-2, 15-4. Bowman's took control early in game one behind the serves of Jeff Rutherford and net play of Marty Franco. The defense of Roy Hartle was too much for Mobile Estates in game two. Franco and Rutherford were flawless for Bowman Builders in game three. National Associates swept Eckel's Dipsel in three games. The scores were 15-11, 15-11, 15-8. National took game one behind net coverage by Greg Arnold and spikes by Don Schifferdecker. National took an early lead in game two behind the spikes of Norm LaBounty. Eckel's tied it up 9-9 behind the serves of Marty Holmes and spikes of Tom Eckel. National Associates regained control after that and went on to win the game behind hits by Tom Schollenberger. Spikes by Bob Mullock and BuddyKeen helped National win the last match. DELLAS STORES . defeated Bowman Builders in two of three games. Delias won the first two games 15-11 and 15-9 while Bowman Builders came back and won the last game 15-8. Game 1 saw Delias' Dave Barikian and S^ep Taylor control the net to defeat Bowman's. The second game saw the consistent bumping and setting of Gary Kosber and Ken Ferrante to spiker Bob Roff to lead Delias Stores. Bowman's won the last game in a real team effort, led by the diving digs of Roy Hartle. sets by MartyFranco and great net play by Bud Bowman and Jeff Rutherford. The Coast Guard swept J.T. Builders in their three games. The scores were 15-10, 15-8, 15-2. The Builders took an early lead in the first game behind the nice serves of Mark Matteucci, but could not hold on as the serves of Wayne Plocher and hits of Mark Townsend propelled the Coast Guard to victory. The spikes of Townsend and Plocher led the Coast Guard in the second game. The setting of Coast Guard's Steve Metts was a key factor in their victory in the final game. BREAKWATER Electric moved into first place by winqing 2 of 3 games 'against Dekelco. Dekelco

Breakwater's Lou Dwyer and Dekelco's Dave kept the second even. In the end perfect serves by Herb Hudson put Breakwater over the top. Breakwater's big win in the game was led by the spikes of Ernie Triano and sets by Gerry Griffin.

Buck's Electric swept their three games against Cape May Mobile Estates and moved out of last place in the process. The scores were 15-5, 15-12, 15-13. The serves of Bob Body and Bob McCloughlin proved decisive in Buck's win in the first game. Hits by Ed Sykes and

bumps by Ralph Schafer led Buck's Electric in the second game. The last game saw serves by Bob Boyd and saves off the net by Ed Sykes lead Buck's over the Cape May Mobile Estates. Ccast Guard Breakers fell oui of first place as they had to forfeit their three
