Time Out Dining Guide

\ s By Libby Drmp Forrest j STAY WARM. Stay dry. ! Stay out of the cold. Old ^ January is showing its ■ stuff. But now that we're past the mid-point of the : month, we know this testy < month will soon be coming j to an end. / Mother Nature is pretty \ much in charge of things. ] So our advice is to let her do what she will while you \ keep busy with what has to j be done. / If winter is a time of in- / finite patience, it does have ( its compensations too when j you come to think of it For ; instance, right now you s don't have to worry about ) mowing the grass, or i scolding because sand is s being tracked through the s house j We always get started ! ordering seed catalogs this j time of year While its still weeks away from seeing blooms hereabouts, we like to play tricks with our mind by planting flowers in rows, rearranging them, and watching them grow As we said, this is all done in the mind. It's an adult game to keep us preoccupied until its time to get down to the business of ordering seeds. February will be making its debut in less than a week. And with February comes a day for hearts and flowers. It's not too early to start gathering some pretty decorations and to put some color in the house to cast off winter's gloom. CANAL 42. Located at the corner of 42nd Park Road in Sea Isle. Canal 42 offers an exciting menu that includes something for everybody We are partial to the delicious Chicken Parmesan— fresh breaded boneless chicken breast, cowered with tomato sauce, topped with mozzarella and parmesan cheese We also enjoy the seafood combination— a generous portion of flounder. . scallops, shrimp, deviled

Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, one of our favorite reassurances at Canal 42 is the bottomless cup of coffee served throughout the day and evening.
