Poster Contest On , To Aid Memorial

CAPE MAY — A countywide poster contest to 1 arouse interest in the pror ject is being conducted by the Cape May County Fishermen's Memorial Inc, involving the public, parochial and private ' school systems. Judging by the memorial committee will take place in mid-February. Cash prizes of $100, $75, $50 and $25 will be awarded the top four entrants. Coordinating the poster contest are Edward Campbell, superintendent of schools in Lower Township, and members of his teaching staff. A SPOKESMAN for the memorial committee > reports that the first phase of its overall plan to develop a project organization and target a memorial site has been completed. The Cape May City Council recently agreed to provide a site overlooking Cape May Harbor upon which the proposed memorial to fishermen lost at sea may be erected. Input by way of a questionnaire survey last fall was obtained from members of the commercial fishing industry. Those who want further information or wish to help

in the project are asked to write to The Cape May County Fishermen's Memorial Inc., Box 997 Ocean Dr., Cape May, N.J. 08204. Rec Dept. Trips Set COURT HOUSE -Vrhe Middle Township Rech^ation Department will ofrer bus trips to the Ice Capades and the Philadelphia Flower! Show in February and\ • March for local residents. On Thursday, Feb. 28, a bus will go to the Philadelphia Spectrum to see the 1985 edition of the Ice Capades, "Hooray For Ice". This year's show features silver medalists Peter and Kitty Carruthers as they present the world of showbusiness from Broadway to Ballet. ON TUESDAY. March 5, the department will sponsor a trip to the Philadelphia Flower Show at the Civic Center in Philadelphia.
