Parish to Celebrate Catholic Schools

VILLAS - Catholic Schools Week begins Sunday and St. Raymond Regional School has posted the following list of activities: Opening Mass for Families, 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the Church; Grandparents' Day, l p.m. Monday at the auditorium; Parents' Day, Tuesday, with a prayer service (1 p.m.), open house, book fair and report cards (7-8:30 p.m.') at the school; Student Appreciation Day, Wednesday, with free pizza for lunch and games;

Prayer Day, Thursday, with a 9 a.m. Peace Awareness Day Mass and a 1 p.m. ceremony — Ringing of Bells for Peace; Friday will be Teacher Appreciation Day, marked by a Sunday-best dress-up and noon dismissal. Registration for students entering grades 1-8 this fall will be held Monday through Friday from 9-11:30 a.m. and Tuesday 7-8:30 p.m. in the school office. Book fairs will be held Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in the school library.

'Reality Of Evil'

WILDWOOD - "The Reality of Evil" will be the theme of the homily by Rev. Gary A. Mann at the 10:15 a.m. service Sunday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Atlantic and Poplar Avenues. The Sunday Church School program begins at 9 a.m. The Holy Eucharist is celebrated weekly, followed by a fellowship hour. A Lutheran Faith Class will begin 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Feb. 5. This is designed for new members, interested non-members, the curious and any current members interested in learning more about the Lutheran catholic tradition. Chapel Hosts A Concert RIO GRANDE - Milt Wilson, pastor of Grace Gospel Chapel, will speak this Sunday at the 11 a.m. worship service. Children's church is held at the same hour for boys and girls 5 to 9. Sunday School is at 9:45 a.m. Pilgrim Academy from Egg Harbor will present a sacred concert Sunday evening at 7. Prayer meeting is 7 p.m. Wednesday! Shaw Topic Is 'Demons' CAPE MAY - The Rev. Cass Shaw, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, will speak of "Silent Demons" at the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday. A talkback session with the pastor will take place at 11 :40 a.m. at the church at Hughes and Decatur Streets. The First Presbyterian Church is the oldest church in Cape May. But God Disposes NORTH CAPE MAY - "Man Proposes, But God Disposes," is the theme of the 10:50 a.m. worship service of the Covenant Bible Church, Fishing Cieek Road, according to the pastor, Dr. George Fincke. The service will be braodcast over WCMC, 1230 AM. At the 7 p.m. service, the associate pastor, the Rev. George B. Fincke, will speak on "The Exuberant Life," as he continues his study in the Book of Colos sians. Dick Sterling will lead the congregational singing, and the service will be carried over WSJLFM, 102 FM. WEDNESDAY, the Pioneer Girls meet at 7 p.m. in the music room with Grace Steffens, while the adults and teens meet in the sanctuary for praise, prayer and Bible study. Communion At Crest WILDWOOD CREST - Services begin Sunday at the Crest Community Church with Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. On the first Sunday of each month, students ar requested to bring a non-perishable food item to place at the altar during devotions. Perfect Attendance pins for 1984 will be awarded this week. Communion service with the Rev. Charles L. Rowe is at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary. Music will be provided by the church, junior and adult choirs, all under the direction of Bette Van Dyke, organist. Wednesday, Feb. 20, the Youth Group will hold a Lenten Supper in the Social Hall at 5 p.m. A pancake breakfast will be held Sunday, Feb. 24, in the Social Hall 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Proceeds benefit the building fund. Sunday, March 10, will be the dedication of the new Sunday School building. Topic: Be Ye 'Perfect' BURLEIGH - Pastor Lee Cattell will have as the topic of his 11 a.m. Sunday sermon, "Be Ye Perfect", based on Matthew 5:31-48. The topic of his 7 p.m. sermon will be "Faith Without Works is Dead", based on James 2:14-26.
