Posters To Boost Project
CAPE MAY — A countywide poster contest is being conducted in the schools in connection with plans for the Cape May County Fishermen's Memorial Inc. Purpose of the contest is to develop concepts to be used as possible designs for the memorial. Secondary purposes include acquainting everyone with the significance, history, and
heritage of the fishing industry in the county, Edward Campbell, Lower Township superintendent of schools, and members of the teaching staff are providing coordination and support for the contest. FINAL JUDGING will be done by the Cape May County Fishermen's committee in mid-February. Cash prizes will be award-

In another recent development, the Cape May City Council has agreed to provide a site overlooking Cape May Harbor upon which the proposed memorial can be erected.
Scholarship Available
The Cape May County Legal Secretaries Association is offering a $500 scholarship to a deserving young man or woman 1985 graduate. The group seeks candidates desiring to become legal secretaries, legal assistants or to study some other phase of law. The candidate must be a high school graduate of the

City -County Road Pact Hearing Set COURT HOUSE - A road maintenance agreement between the county and the city of Cape May is scheduled to be adopted following a public hearing on the matter Thursday. Feb. 14, at 8 p.m. at the county library office building. The agreement, to be in effect for seven years, would obligate the county for about $700,000 in storm sewer repair work planned over the next two years, primarily on Madison and Pittsburgh avenues. Work would be done "by the county roads department. The agreement makes the county responsible for maintaining storm sewers along four county roads within the city limits: Beach Avenue (Route 604), Broadway Avenue (Route 626). Madison Avenue (Route 653), and Pitt sburgh Avenue (Route 622). The county also would agree to maintain a timber bulkhead on Beach Avenue between Madison and Wilmington avenues. Feb. 8 COURT HOUSE - The next meeting of the County Task Force on Drugs and Drunk Driving will be held on Feb. 8 at 10 a.m. in the conference room at Burdette Tomlin Hospital. Tip Brings Drug Bust COURT HOUSE - An anonymous caller gave information to the Middle Township Crime Stoppers Jan. .10 concerning an individual selling, cocaine in the Middle Township area, reported township Crime Stoppers. A detective was assigned, and as a result of an intensive investigation, approximately $1,000 in cocaine was recovered, and a subject was charged with distribution and possession of cocaine. Other charges are pending against the suspect. AS A RESULT of the information received, the board of directors of Crime Stoppers has resolved to pay the informant a $100 reward. An essential part of the Crime Stoppers program is the guaranteed anonymity of persons calling Crime Stoppers. Each caller is given a secret code number when calling Crime Stoppers, and if an arrest and indictment results from the information, then a reward is paid. Anyone with information concerning a crime or who sees a crime in progress can contact Crime Stoppers at 465-2800.
