PROMOTED — Dr. Jeffrey Vecere of Court House has been advanced to major in the Delaware National Air Guard. The Air Guard's state dental surgeon for two years, he is also the local liaison officer for the U.S. Air Force Academy and Air Force ROTG programs.

Students Type For Leukemia

ERMA — Over $330 was recently raised by 25 Lower Cape May Regional High School students in the school's first type-a-thon for the Leukemia Society. Dawn Surran, a junior, received the most pledges by raising $78. Totals were determined by how many correct words students typed during one and five minute timings.

ALL PARTICIPATING students received painters caps from the Leukemia Society Supervising faculty were Joanne Messick and Kathy Parker of the Business Education Department. Students participating were: Karen Becica, Ann Black, Patty Branegan, Joanne Brandt, Brady Bonner, Katie Brown. Gail

Clinic Set For Rabies

SEA ISLE CITY - The city will hold a free rabies . vaccination clinic for dogs and cats at the Public Safety Building, 233 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Dr. Nick Holland, V.M.D., will administer the shots at no expense to dog and cat owners. The type of rabies shot that will be used will afford dogs protection for a period of three years if the dog is over one year old. If the dog is under one year old, the type of rabies shot that

will be used will afford the dog protection for a period of one year. The type of rabies shot that will be used for cats will afford a cat protection for one year or three years depending on its age. IF A DOG has had a shot of this kind during 1983 or 1984, it should not have one now. The law requires that all dogs be licensed by tomorrow. Dogs' licenses are available in City Hall, 4416 Landis Ave., between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. each week day. If a dog has been

spayed or neutered, owners are asked to bring a copy of the certificate from the veterinarian to substantiate it. There is a reduction in the license fee if a dog has been either spayed or neutered. Information in this matter may be obtained at City Hall. The law requires that dog owners have a valid vaccinatioh certificate for their pets in order to purchase a license. Those who no longer have dogs, are requested to advise the Municipal Clerk's Office at S 263-4461. Promoted RIO GRANDE - Vernon H. Eldredge, son of John 0. and Joan 0. Eldredge of 202 School La., has been promoted in the U.S. Air Force to the rank of airman first class. Eldredge is an electrician at Bergstrom Air Force Base, Tekas, with the 67th Civil Engineering Squadron. He is a 4980 graduate of Middle Township High School.
