Society in Tribute To Late Doctor

COURT HOUSE - A resolution memorializing the late Dr Philip Fiscella of Wildwood Crest was passed recently by the Cape May County Medical Society. Dr. Fiscella, who was 88, died in December at his home. He had been a doctor for nearly 60 years, starting practice in Philadelphia in 1925 after earning degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and Temple University Medical School.

HE WAS chief resident at Chester County Memorial Hospital in West Chester and was a member of the obstetrics staff at Temple University Hospital. Dr. Fiscella also served as a medical inspector in the Philadelphia and Wildwood Crest school systems He moved his practice to Wildwood Crest in 1952 and joined the staff of Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital here. HE SERVED as treasurer of the Cape May County Medical Society for

several years, and was also active in the American Medical Association and county and state medical organizations. In 1975, he was honored by the Medical Society of New Jersey for 50 years of service to society. An Army veteran of World War I, he was a member of Wildwood American Legion Post 184. He was also active in the Navy League

Auxiliarys Celebrate WILDWOOD - Members of Wildwood fire companies' Ladies' Auxiliary will celebrate their 25th anniversary tomorrow night with a dinner, compliments of Holly Beach and Pine Avenue smoke eaters The two companies are sending auxiliary members to cocktails (6-7 p.m.and dinner at the Atlas Motor Inn, Cape May.
