Coastline Has New Staffer

ERMA - Robert A Laws, president and owner of Coastline Advertising Agency, has announced the recent staff addition of F. Michael Manno. Customers ' Choice On Long Distance

Telephone customers in the Wildwood area area soon will get the opportum ty to choose the company that will'provide their long distance service without the need to dial extra digits or use a push button telephone This choice is being made available in compliance with the equal access terms of the consent decree that governed the breakup of the Bell System BEGINNING this week 13.200 customers in Wildwood, Wildwood Gables. Wildwood Crest. West Wildwood and North Wildwood will receive letters from New Jersey Bell explaining equal access

and listing the names and numbers of the companies offering long distance ser vice outside of the 009 area These customers will be given the opportunity to choose a primary long distance company within the next nine months Once they make their selection, customers notify the company they've chosen THAT COMPANY will notify New Jersey Bell Long distance companies will bill their customers directly unless they make arrangements for NewJersey Bell to handle billing for them After customers have chosen a l«-ng distance company they'll have to dial only "one" plus the area code and phone number to make a long distance call outside of the 609 area Customers also may use other long distance com panies. but they'll have to dial a five-digit code plus the ara code and phone number to use them They may be required to establish an account with each additional company for billing purposes CUSTOMERS have until Dec 2 to choose one long distance company at no charge from New Jersey Bell If they decide to change their long distance company after making an initial selection, there will be a $5 service order charge If existing customers don't choose a company, their long distance calls will be handled by ATAT Equal access will be available in the Wildwood area area on June 2 It will be introduced throughout the rest of the state over the next two yeart. 823
