associate with exercise Here's how the Paracourse Fitness Circuit worts Spaced throughout the County Park wUl be a series of exercise stations marked by signs At each station, guided by the sign illustrations and instructions, one per forms a specific exercise or movement using any apparatus provided AFTER COMPLETING that exercise participants walk or jog along the path to the next station, where another exercise wUl be presented One full circuit is a completely balanced workout for the entire body And the person can enjoy the workout because he or she sets the pace For the fitness beginner, the sports enthusiast, and the Olympic champion the fitness circuit has been carefully designed for use by people of every level of fitness and athletic ability EACH STATION gives you instruction in a specific exercise and a suggested number of repetitions for each of the three levels of fitness Starting, sporting and championship On the Physical Fitness Par course people exercise according to their physical conditioning, adding just the right degree of challenge Dawn has found that studies have shown the importance of developing good health habits at all stages of life There is a need to improve the quality of life for our citizens through increased awareness of health and participation in physical fitness activities CURRENTLY there are no physical fitness courses available to the general public in Cape May County upveiopmeni 01 tne project will provide such an activity for all residents and visitors It is self guiding, requires no supervision, is fun. non -competitive and will be available to the public at no cost any time during the park hours Dawn conceived the idea while attending Rutgers University for 4-H events The University has a Par course throughout the cam-

$382, 121 For Cape Elderly TRENTON - An Area Plan grant in the amount of $382,121 has been awarded to the Cape May County Board of Freeholders by the state Department of Community Affairs, accor ding to Governor Thomas H Kean Kean said that the grant will enable the County to provide funds for numerous social service programs for the elderly, including transportation, nutrition, limited health services, recreation, counseling services, and information and referral services The grant is offered by the Department of Com m unity Affairs, Division on Aging "I am delighted that we are able to provide assistance to the agency." said Kean T believe that the grant will be of significant benefit to the citizens of the Cape May County Board of Chosen Freeholders " For additional information about the grant, per sons can contact the Department of Community Affairs.
