News Notes from
The Cape Mays Dolly Stango
Jerry Inderwies. assis tant superintednent of Public Works for the City of Cape May, was the speaker at the recent Mayor's Advisory Committee Meeting One of the most talked about subjects was that of the public restrooms For some unaccountable reason, the city's public restrooms have been vandalized unmercifully: plumbing destroyed, floors and walls damaged; cigarettes have been put out on the floors, making holes in the flooring Just what do these vandals think is going to happen? One thing sure is that there are special men being given the chore of policing these areas and anyone caught destroying city property will be severely punished It goes without saying that visitors coming into our town should not have to witness such sights - and of course. Cape May residents should have the privilege of using these facilities without having to pay for the terrible situations encountered because of vandalism VANDALS, take heed You're being watched. Grow up and try to help instead of being destructive The punishment is severe and you will be caught Just wait and see! Inderwies went on to say that this area is one of most concern to the city and now officials think they do have a viable solution to catch the offenders • • • THE REPUBLICAN Women's Club of Cape May is sponsoring a bus shopping trip to the Christiana Mall in Delaware Thurs day.
