INTO MARCH. This is an exciting time of year with the promsie of a new season just ahead. New birds are arriving from the south now. You might also say a lot of the local human population is returning from the south too, tanned and rested from a winter;s vacation. Every mild day this week

will bring us a rich chorus of springtime music from the early arrivals. One of our most favorite song tho are those of the peepers the little frogs that sign mainly at night when the air is warm this monthand next. Their songs from the marshes have always seemed to us one of the most pleasant sounds of springtime.

was Michelangelo Buonarroti, but he is always called just by his first name, His birth date? 1475 in case you're planning a celebration. He was one of the greatest artists of all time. He was a painter, sculpture, poet and architect. He was in the midst of great projects when he died just before ninety. Such a man. March sunsets are something to behold. During this period when winter is alternately loosening its grip and reasserting its power we are treated to glorious pictures these mellowing days.
