Churches Unite in Service

CAPE MAY - The churches of the city will unite at the First United Methodist Church, 635 Washington St., noon to 3 p.m.. to observe Good Friday with an ecumenical service This service will be based upon the Word of God and musical offerings, focusing At Crest Community WILDWOOD CREST - Easter Sunday, April 7 is a time of celebration at the Crest Community Church. Sunday School begins the day of worship at 9:45 a.m. All classes will study the special Easter lesson. Easter Worship Service with the Rev. Charles L. Rowe is at 11 a.m. Special musical selections will be performed by the Cherub and Junior Choirs including "Come Follow Jesus!" The Senior Choir will perform "Thine is the Glory". All choirs are under the direction of Bette Van Dyke, organist. Saturday, the Sunday School will hold "Lunch with the Easter Bunny" at 11:30 a.m. in the Social Hall. Community Services COURT HOUSE - Community Good Friday services will be held l p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Cape May, 101 S. Main St., in conjunction with the First United Methodist Church. Rev. Wilbert Hoffman will be the speaker Pregnancy Counseling COURT HOUSE - A meeting of Christians from area churches interested in organizing a pregnancy counseling center will be held noon-1 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, at Joyful Noise. Dennisville Road, next to the Jamesway shopping center. The purpose of the center is to offer and urge alternatives to abortion. Anyone interested in working to organize such a counseling center is invited to attend. Good Friday Service Set GOSHEN - The GoshenUnited Methodist Church will hold a Good Friday Service from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, April 5, at the church on Rt. 47. Pastor George Stauffer will preach "There Is A Man on the Cross". Christ's resurrection will be celebrated Easter Sunday with services at 11 a.m. Sunday School will be at 9:45 a.m.
