STONE HARBOR - Both high school and elementary students have received special recognition from the Wetlands Institute this spring. At the Middle Township High School Stience fair last month. Michelle Clayton won a $50 cash award, a certificate of achievement and will have her name engraved on the permanateiy displayed institute plaque there. Her prize winning
project was "A Bioassay in the Effect of NaC1 and 2-4-D on Salt Marsh Grass." The runner-up, Michelle Jost. received a certificate of achievement and family membership from the Wetlands Institute. CAPE MAY - The city offers open programs as a part of its recreation schedule. The following is a list of these programs with times, days and locations for each. Roller Skating • Available to the en tire family at Convention Hall Friday 7-10 p.m. . Saturday 1-3 pm and 7-10 p. m and Sunday 1-3 pm Skateboarding • At Convention Hall Equipment includes ramp and safety helmets Monday. Wednesday and Friday 3:30-3:30 p m OPEN VOLLEYBALL Coed in formal volleyball at Cape May Elementary School Sunday and Wednesday 7-9p m Coed Adult Night Open to men and women 18 years and up Gym and pool at the elementary school open for exercise and enjoyment

Runner-up was Carrie Licatta for "Soil Erosion" and she also received a Wetlands certificate of * achievement. These prizes will be awarded June 4 at the school in Stone Harbor

Clubs Enjoy Trip To Capital WILDWOOD - A field trip to Washington, D.C.. , was taken March 17 by a group of 84 Wildwood 4-H I members, led by Larry R . Wilson Sr. The youngsters, from the Wildwood 4-H Planters. Farmers, Nature, and Fruit Clubs, toured the National 4-H Council Building and the Arms Medical Museum Building Adults accompanying the 4-H members were: Kyle Miller, Laurie Adams. Kimberly Wilson, Helene Grier, Vincent Watkin. Louise Talarek. Debbie Daretko, Woody Harrison. Albert Alston, John Rothenbiller . Jauzell Dozier, and Chick Beck FUTURE TRIPS are planned to the Franklin Institute and the Philadelphia Zoo A 4-H Food and Nutrition Anniversary observance is planned for May Community support is needed for these projects. CAPE MAY - A 10-week course on ballroom dancing as part of its spring recreation schedule is being offered by the city. John Victor, the instructor, will teach all of the classic ballroom steps - foxtrot. waltz, cha-cha, rumba, jitterbug and tango. The class, offered to Cape May area couples and singles, will be held Monday nights 7-8 p.m. at the Convention Hall.
