Nature Lovers' Photo Courses Set

STONE HARBOR - Local environmental consultant Joseph Lomax will teach a Nature Photography course at the Wetlands Institute beginning Monday, April 8. The two-hour Monday evening classes will begin at 7:30 and will include a field trip in May. Formal classes indoors end May 6. "We want to teach nature lovers some new ways to look at nature." says Lomax, a resident of Swainton. His series will teach how to get the best performance from the various features of each camera. It will present the basic concepts and art forms of nature photography, as well as strategies of plant and animal photography. LOW COST techniques will be taught to eliminate expensive equipment and procedures. Organization and maintenance will be another topic included in the classes, which will cover black and white, color and color slide photography Participants will be expected to furnish their own cameras, film and basic flash equipment.
