Arts Festival Set For County Teens

OCEAN CITY - The Cape May County Teen Arts Festival, which will provide young artists with professional evaluation of their work, will be held Friday, April 26, at the Music Pier here. Anyone between 13 and 19 who is in middle or high school is eligible. Workshops, teen performances. and visual arts ex hibits are scheduled throughout the day. Participants, their families, and all interested

persons are invited to concert and visual arts display at 7:30 that evening in the Music Pier. AREAS TO BE covered by the festival include dance, theater, vocal . music, instrumental music and visual arts. Local visual and performing artists are being sought to conduct seminars and critique students presentations the day of the festival. Anyone interested is asked to contact Florence Heal,

THE FESTIVAL is sponsored by the Cape May County Cultural and Heritage Commission, the county Board of Freeholders, the office of the county Superintendent of Schools, and the Ocean City Cultural Arts Center. Discussion On Medic 9 COURT HOUSE - A general meeting of the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will be held 7:30 p.m Thursday, April 4, in the hospital cafeteria. All members and guests are invited to attend the session, which will feature a discussion of the BTMH Mobile Intensive Care Unit. S. Thomas A. Starr, assistant director of MICU, and Kathryn Sikora. RN, BSN, unit supervisor BTMH emergency department, will be guest speakers. They will explain the role of paramedics and the Medic 9 Unit in bringing hospital care to the scene of life-threatening emergencies and eview the record of the new service in Cape May County.

Funding has been provided by the New Jersey Teen Arts Program with the State Council on the Arts. Assistance has been provided by the City of Ocean City and St. Peter's United Methodist Church here Events Set By Auxiliary COURT HOUSE - American Legion Auxiliary Unit 198 will sponsor several events in the next few weeks, including a pancake breakfast April 21. Other events planned include: trip to Atlantis Casino, Atlantic City, April 26; penny party 6:30 p.m. May 8 at post home; Longwood Gardens trip. May 17. MacDonald of 504 Baywood Dr., has been assigned to Keeslar Air Force Base, Miss., after completing Air Force basic training. MacDonald will now receive specialized instruction in the air operations field. He is a 1983 graduate of Lower Cape May Regional High School.
