String Band Beat To Parade

WILDWOOD - An Easter parade, set to the beat of the Wildwood String Band, will be held Sunday, on the Wildwood Boardwalk "We're welcoming in warm weather and a good season." said Wildwood Mayor Vic DiSylvester The parade begins at 12:30 p.m. at 26th Street on the Boardwalk, and continues to Convention Hall, where the String Band will give a special performance. LOCAL RESIDENTS and visitors are invited to Convention Hall at 1 p.m. for a grand "Best Dressed" contest. Trophies and candy, will be awarded to the best dressed people in the following categories ladies; gentlemen, couples; family groups; teenagers (13 to 18 years old ) girls and boys (6 to 12) girls and boys ( 5 years and under); senior ladies and senior gentlemen. Members of the Wildwood Civic Club and its Evening Membership Department, assisted by the Wildwood Deborah Hospital Chapter, will judge the Easter fashions. Mayor DiSylvester will award the prizes. THE GALA PROGRAM includes a special visit from the Easter Bunny and an arts and crafts show featuring handmade stain ed glass creations, doll clothes, ceramics, fabrics, crafts, an art exhibit, silk flowers, and other items Also, an Easter Party of

games and gifts for children up to sixth grade is being held Saturday in Wildwood's Fox Park, beginning at 10 a.m. Children can join in Easter basket races, egg and spoon races, broom sweps, three-leg races and potato sack races. Prizes ranging from candy to Easter baskets are awarded to all participants. There is also a free raffle for two bicycles and a tricycle. For further information.
