Tours April Weekends
CAPE MAY - Trolley, walking, and house museum tours will be featured every weekend in April in the nation's oldest seashore resort. The tour schedule follows : Trolley tours of the National Landmark District Triple Win In Student Art Show "cape may - A triple award winner in the Young People's Art Exhibit held recently by the County Art League, was Mike Cotellese from Wildwood High School Mike is a senior and his teacher is Ms. Connie Jost. Mike received third place for his "Self Portrait". Judges Award for "Frustration ", a plaster mold of his face bursting through a brick wall, and Best in Show for his Photo "Saint Frisbee", a young person portraying a saint with the use of a frisbee and other special effects. He also received a $25 check for a scholarship award.

They begin at the Information Booth at the head of the Washington Street Mall (at Ocean Street). Guides lead visitors on a stroll down many of the historic streets. Spiced with
historical insights into the customs and traditions of the Victorians and their ornate architecture, these tours provide an intimate insight into Cape May's intriguing past, present, and future " Tours of the Emlen Physick Estate: a Stick Style mansion, at 1048 Washington St. It was designed by the famous Philadelphia architect. Frank Furness, and built in 1881. It contains a meticulously restored Victorian House Museum. These tours run on the following schedule: Satur days every 45 minutes 10:30 a.m. 2:15 p.m ; Sundays every 45 minutes 10:30 a.m. 12:45,p.m. Seafood Cookery Lesson STONE HARBOR - Seafood specialties will be the focus of "Cooking with Corky", an afternoon demonstration and lesson presented at 1 o'clock Wednesday, April 24, in the Wetlands Institute. Corky Connor, a student and teacher of haute cuisine for more than 17 years, has worked with American food authority James Beard, national cooking expert Julie Dannenbaum and George Perrier of Le Bec Fin in Philadelphia as well as other prominent food authorities She has appeared on television and conducts her teaching, consulting, entertaining and catering activities from her professionally equipped kitchens in Ambler, Pa. SHE WILL present seafood dishes of three dif ferent costs to suit every budget at her demonstra tian She will also cook and serve seafood in appetizer, entree and salad courses for variety After her presentation, tea will be served and mem bers of the audience will have the opportunity to meet and talk with Corky. Advance registration is required for the classes, and it is suggested that reservations be made early. There is a fee for the class. For reservations, phone the Wetlands Institute at 368-1211. Spaghetti Fete For Academy NORTH CAPE MAY - A spaghetti supper benefitting South Jersey Christian Academy will be held at Ben's Restaurant, 3820 Bayshore Rd here from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday. April 18. The meal includes spaghetti, salad bar, dessert, and a beverage. Advance tickets may be purchased from Jack Elliott, 884-1134; Sarah Munday. 886-3611; or at Ben's Restaurant.
