Rio Grande Clutch On First Tightens

CAPE MAY - Rio Grand* Building Materials kept a tight hold on first place in the Cape May Recreation Coed Volleyball League by defeating the Bijou Brats by scores of 15-1, 15-8, 15-6 and 15-11. Nice digs by Frank Vogel and eight consecutive serves by Margie Franco

led the Rio Grande team in the first game. Eight consecutive serves by Fran Vogel led her team in the second game. The serves of Ernie Troiano and Bud Bowman led Rio Crande Building Supplies in the third game. The play of Craig Mericle and Sandy Haungs helped the Bijou Brats out to an early lead in the fianl game but they could not hold it as the serves of Bowman led Rio Grande to the sweep. THE UGLY MUG swept four games against Pete's Racquet Club, by 15-13, 15-12, 18-16 and 15-13. The Ugly Mug was led by the serves of Scott Dink in the first game. The Mug was led in the second game by the net coverage of Tammy Davis and the saves and serves of Brian McKeon. The serves of Judy Ricco

and the good net coverage by Greg Martin gave Pete's Racquet Club an early lead fn the third game but the team could not hold it as the Mug was led by the serves of McKeon and Davis. The serves of Dink led the Mug to its final victory of the evening. The Cape May Mobile Estates and Kona Realty split

Klock Ends His Army Basic OCEAN CITY - Pvt. Christopher Klock, son of Helen and Joel F. Klock of 813 Central Ave., has completed basic training at Fort Dix, N.J. He is a 1982 graduate of Ocean City High School.
