I CAPE MAY - Lighting I Dimensions remained in a I tie for first place as it split I four games against the Cape I Island Sailing Cruisers in ■ coed power volleyball. Lighting Dimensions jumped out to an early lead in game one then held on for a close 15-12 win. The Dimensions were led by the precise serves of Ted Ferrante and the excellent setting of Lorraine Holt to Capt. Rick Ferrante. Cape Island took a close second game 15-11 due to the outstanding serves and sets of Laura Houben to spikers Charlie Futcher and Bob Jackson. CAPE ISLAND took control early in the third game and cruised to a 15-8 win thanks to the spikes of Sharon Mericle and the hustle and net play of Diane Clendening. Lighting Dimensions rebounded and i took the final game 15-7 behind Jan Seer's dependable net play and the serves of Pete Kakoyanis. J.T. Builders and the U.S. Coast Guard split their four games. The Coast Guard took game one 17-15 behind solid efforts from Wayne Plocher at the net and the defense of Leigh Ann Mauro and Steve Metis. J.T. came back in the second game and defeated the Coast Guard 15-11 behind the power serves of John Thomas, the steady net play of Mark Mateucci and the and defense of MarLamach. THE BUILDERS came on strong again in the third game by winning 15-9 on the sets of Linda Thomas to spiker Ken Gaskill. The serves of Leigh Ann Maruo helped pace the Coast to a 15-9 shutout of

Bloodmobile Visit Set OCEAN CITY" - The Ocean City Civic Club Council will sponsor a community bloodmobile at the Ocean City Civic and Sports Center. 6th Street and the Boardwalk, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, May 3. The need for blood is constant. Red Cross officials say. and the organization needs to collect 1,400 pints of blood every day to maintain adequate supplies for the 113 area hospitals. While some people need blood only once, there are many people, such as leukemia patients- and hemophiliacs, who need blood many times each year.
