SUPPORT FOR SOCCER — Checks to help local soccer teams pay expenses of trip to Darmstadt, Germany, by players are presented by James Hudanich, president of Stone Harbor Lions Club, to Robert and Mary Halvorsen, representing Avalon Soccer Club, and Jersey Cape Shore Soccer Club.

They'll Get Their Kicks In Germany A soccer team made up of 16 Cape May County youths from 14 to 16 will go to Germany in July for a two-week tour during which it will compete with European teams. Among the team contingent are four from the Ava-lon-Stone Harbor area and two from Middle Township. The players are raising money for the $13,000 cost of the trip through candy sales, raffles, sale of T-shirts, and door to door solicitation. The Stone Harbor Lions Club recently continued its support of local soccer by presenting $300 to the Avalon Soccer Club and $250 to the Jersey Cape Shore Soccer Club.
