City, occurs Thursday. May 9th starting 11 a.m. It features a hermit crab of the same name who ventures onto the sands at Moorlyn Terrace betweer. 8th and 9th Streets. SHOULD MZM see his shadow, summer arrives a week early at this resort. Should he fail to find it, summer arrives on time so nothing is really lost. This will be the 10th annual creep for Martin and the anniversary will be marked by a giant cake sculpted from sand The cake will be inscribed with the phase "Martin Mollusk Crept Here". Martin will., greet his friends and admirers after the creep and distribute autographed photos. Those who wish may jump into the cake. The Sindia Weekend marks a famous shipwreck which happened off 17th Street in 1901. The clipper ship, bound for New York from the Orient, beached after a violent storm. No one was injured but the Sindia. mired in the sand, refused to be unstuck and eventually sank deep into the sands. MANY RELICS from "the vessel are on display in the Sindia Room of the Ocean City Historical Museum. 409 Wesley Ave., sponsors of the weekend with the city. A group of divers is now attempting to clear legal hurdles and excavate the ship further. The Sindia weekend will feature a Seafood Festival at the Music Pier. Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace. May 18 and 19. Sea and Folk song festival at the l Pier. May 19. 2 p.m.; Historical Museum Open House and Tour of the Sindia Room plus a booksigning party by historian Dan D'Imperio, Saturday. May 18; city-wide treasure hunt organized by Atlantic Community College. May 18; demonstration dives at the Sindia site. 17th and the beach.
