Vo-Tech Will Hold I Annual Spring Fair
COURT HOUSE - A feature of the 10th annual spring fair of the county vocational schools next Wednesday will be the offer for sale of a two-bedroom modular ranch house built by the carpentry class. The fair is scheduled 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the recreation area and all-purpose room of the Vo-tech Center. In case of rail*, the fair will be moved inside completely. SCHOOL OFFICIALS recommeridfthat those interested inspect the house ► Smithville Bus Trip iAVALON - The Women's Civic Club is sponsoring a bus trip to Smithville Village, with luncheon at Quail Inn, June 24. Departure will be at 9 a.m. from Avalon's Com-* munity Hall. Arriving at Smithville by 10 a.m., participants will be free to browse among the many varied shops before the noon luncheon. . The itinerary will include a mid-afternoon stop at Renault Winery for a tour and wine tasting session. The bus will return to Avalon Community Hall by 4 p.m. Call Reba Raeburn for reservations, at 368-1453 by May 15.

Individual shops in the Career Center and Vo-Tech Center have been working over the past few months to prepare items for sale, demonstration and exhibit. THE VARIOUS student organizations, including the Future Farmers of America, Health Occupations Students of America and the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America, will also have booths at the fair. ONE OF the popular features of the fair is the variety of food available. The foods occupation shops will provide lunch with a menu of hot roast beef sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs and take-home items. \ The bake shop will have many of its baked goods for sale. Other shops will offer ice cream, fruit cups and seafood delicacies. Some of the items for sale will include: bedding plants, wrought iron objects, step stools, silk screen prints, electrical appliances and handcrafted work. The beauty culture class will perform manicures and facials. *
Concert Set MAYS LANDING - The Atlantic Community College Orchestra will present its spring concert at 3 p.m Sunday. May 12, in the college's Walter Edge Theater on the campus here. The orchestra will perform the Water Music Suite, by George Frederick Handel ; Piano Concerto 1 in B Flat Minor. Op. 23, and the Little Russian. Symphony 2 in C Minor. Op. 17, by Thaikovski. performed by piano soloist ^Helena Turlinska-Bew. The orchestra will be conducted by Jack Moore of Lindenwold.
