Thoughts on Common Things-i The spider's home is fragile, yet A miracle like this can whet The mind to be alert, aware Of common beauty everywhere. A monarch butterfly quite still For just a moment, brings a thrill That fame or money never show To give the soul an inner glow. A redbird in a winter tree Can turn grey skies to blue for me. And marchHinds sweeping over hills Reminds me that new daffodils Are on the way, no matter what, And yes, there's something 1 forgot: The faith to know that "common things" Are often lost on fools and kings. Neither of her parents ever worked in jobs covered by Social Security and so she cannot get benefits. Can she, however, get Social Security benefits when I retire.? A. A GRANDCHILD may be eligible for Social Security benefits on a grandparent's work record if the natural parents are dead or disabled and if the grandchild is living with and is supported by the grandparent. For more information, contact any Social Security office. Q. I HAVE been a housewife all my adult life and have never worked. I have just gone through a divorce. What rights, if any, do . have to Social Security? A. If you were married for at least 10 years, you retain the same rights and benefits you had before your divorce. For example, when you reach age 62 you'll be able to get monthly payments, provided your ex-husband is eligible at Jiat time for either retirement or disability benefits and you have been divorced for at least two years. You may also get payments at age 60 if your ex-husband dies and you are unmarried at 50, if you're disabled, or at any age if you have children under 16 or disabled who are entitled to benefits on his record, a
