r,O \i,di Contest \ Aids ACS 2 . J RIO GRANDE - A ^ "Miss Rio Mall Contest" ^ | which will benefit the ^ American Cancer Society ^ will be held at the mall here ; Saturday, May 18. Competition will be for {, Tiny Miss Rio (ages 3-5; $ Little Miss Rio (girls 6-10), ; i and Junior Miss Rio / i (11-14). Age divisions may / i change depending on the J number of contestants in each division. Entry fee is $15 (or more) by check or money order made out to the I American Cancer Society. Entry fees may be collected or contestants sponsored by businesses, . groups, or individuals. SPECIAL AWARDS will | be presented to the girls collecting the most money in the contest. Extra i money over the entry fee ^ J may be presented in any form (cash, money order or check). Entries should be dropped off at Monkees Children's Shop in the Mall. Deadline for the $15 entry is May 16. Participants are asked to get their entry forms and fees in early. Extra monies can be turned in on or before the day of the contest, also at Monkees store. A queen and two runnersup will be chosen in each division. Runners-up will receive trophies. All other contestants will receive participation ribbons. Murphy's Gets New Manager WILDWOOD - Raymond R. Huerbin has been named manager of the G.C. Murphy store here according to an announcement by P. W Rogers, vice president - human resources for G.C. Murphy Co. Huerbin moved to his new location from Pasadena. MD. where he served as operations manager of the Murphy's Mart on Ritchie Highway. Huerbin started his Murphy. career as a management-trainee at a Pittsburgh. Pa, Murphy unit and continued as an assistant manager at several Murphy stores before advancing to first assistant status at a Harrisburg. Pa. Murphy's Mart in 1977. HE ADVANCED to the helm of the Dansville, NY. Murphy unit in 1979 and has served as operations manager at the Pasadena Mart since 1981. He and his wife, Dottie, have two daughters. State K.C. Convention Tomorrow tLDWOOD - The _ bts of Columbus will hold their state-wide convention tomorrow through Sunday. Four thousand members are expected to participate in various activities that week. Besides the . usual business meetings, a boat ride and dinner-dance at Convention Hall are planned. One of the organizations',, activities for the month of May will be promoting National High Blood Pressure Month.
