VINELAND - Democratic city chairman Tom Urgo, detailed the special events committees' "Oldies Night" scheduled Saturday at Moose hall. Other topics included area road project funding. Responding to Sen. James Hurley's expectation of restoring funding for area road projects eliminated earlier this week, Peter Amico, Democratic assembly candidate, said, "I'm not at all surprised the $3pillion, for South Jersey roid- projects, was eliminated by the Assembly Trahsportation Committee. Our Republican legislators have never come home with the bacon. That's not news! "I think Hurley is a dreamer. He and our Republican assemblymen have been in office for over 16 years and we still don't have a single highway that leads out of Vineland in any direction. Now they want to blame the Democrats "The most important South Jersey road project was initiated by Democrats. Rt. 55 was begun when we had a Democrat as governor and two Democratic assemblymen. We lost the battle for funding Rt. 55 when Hurley and Chinicci were elected in 1968." NORTH WILDWOOD - The candidacy of Mayor Lewis G. Vinci and 20 of his running mates was endorsed by the North Wildwood Ladies Republican Club at a dinner meeting held here Monday evening. Running with Vinci in the June 4th Republican Primary election are: Councilman -at -large, Ralph G. ijohnson Jr . ; First WardV Councilman. Lewis M. Ostrrfhder; Second Ward Councilman, Aldo Palombo and John C. Janoski. Committee persons also endorsed include: Charles Colombo, Janet Harkins, David MacDonald. Clara Mattera, Jack Kirwin, Diane Henfy, David Blaker. Ruth Blaker, George Yencsik, Rhoda Piccirilli. Raymond Sweeney. Anna Accardi, Edward Tomkins, Mary Tomkins, Louis DiLodovico and Lenora Martino. NORTH WILDWOOD - George Yencsik has promised a strong and vigorous campaign to his quest for a third term as se- /

cond ward, first district, representative to the • Republican committee of this city. "I am running as a member of the New Vinci team," he said, "supporting fully his innovative approach to North Wildwood government administration." \ In a news release/ Yencsik stressed especially the lowering of the municipal tax rate, the construction of a new combination information center and police sub-station on the boardwalk, and the planned reconstruction of Surf and New York Avenues in the fall of 1985.
