Restored Village , ^ Opens Saturday
COLD SPRING - Cape May County will officially dedicate Historic Cold Spring Village in ceremonies 10 a.m. Saturday. Cold Spring Village, a replica of a typical 19th century South Jersey farm village coinprises 15 buildings dating prior to the^urjLonhe century, wittTsome dating as far back as the 1700's. TWe buildings, which represent a relevant satnpling of Cape May /County heritage, were moved from their original sites throughout the county to the restored 35-acre village. The village hosts a country store, the "Old Grange"^Restaurant, an ice-cream parlor, farm wagon tours, craft demonstrations and a wide variety of craft shops. THE FOUNDERS of the village. Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Salvatore, of Tenafly and Cold Spring, will formally donate the village to the county. Area public officials will be present to credit the Saivatores with preserving a vital part of Cape May County's history with the creation of the village. The dedication ceremonies will also signal the opening of the village for the 1985 season A weekend-long antique fair, with dealers from all over
the state, will be part of the festivities. Historic Cold Spring Village is located at 735 Seashore Rd.. two miles north of Cape May. THE PUBLIC is invited _ to attend the ceremonies. The one-time admission fee is good for unlirtiited visit s to the village throughout the season, which runs from Memorial Day Weekend through the end of September.
