Memorial Week To Feature Tours

' The Mid-Atlantic Center '• for the Arts (MAC) will j sponsor: : Trolley Tours of the Na- '• tional Landmark District 1 Saturday and Sunday, 1 beginning at the Trolley ■ Station, Beach Drive at : Gurney Street. On weekdays, they begin at Ocean Street, opposite the Washington Street Mall. MAC offers two distinct tours. The Historic East End Tour includes the Physick Estate, two Victorian hotels — the Chalfonte (the oldest) and the Colonial (the newest), picturesque Columbia Avenue, busy Ocean Street, and treelined Hughes Street, the oldest residential %lreet in the city. The East End tour will . depart on the following schedule: Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26 — 10:30 a.m., noon, 1:45 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.; Monday, May 27: 10:30 a.m., noon, and 1:45 p.m.; Wednesday, May 29: 10:30 a.m. and noon. THE HISTORIC West End Tour includes Congress Hall, the Huntington House, the Pink House, quaint Congress Place, unique Perry Street, and the aligned porches of Decatur Street. The Tour will depart on the following schedule: Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26 — 11:15 a.m., 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 4 p.m.; Monday, May 27 — 11:15 a.m., 1
and 2:30 p.m. ; Wednesday, May 29: 11:15 a.m. and 12:4^p.m Walkingtfpurs of the Nationiil - LSmd ma rk District scheduled for Saturday, May 25 at 10 a.m. and for Sunday, May 26, at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., are IMt hours They begin at the Information Booth at the head of the Washington Street Mall (at Ocean
Street). These tours are especially designed for those who like history close-up and in detSil. , Guides lead visitoivon a stroll down mpiiy of the historic streets. TOURS Or" the Emlen Physick Estate, a Stick Style mansion at 1048 Washington St., designed by the famous Philadelphia architect, Frank Furness,
and built in 1881. It contains a meticulously restored Victorian House Museum. They run on the following schedule: Saturday, May ! 25 and Sunday, May 26: j every 45 minutes: 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m.; Monday, May 27, every 45 minutes: 10:30 a.m.-2:15 p.m.; Tuesday, May 28, every 45 minutes: 10:30 a.m. -12:45 p.m.; Thursday, May 30, every 45 minutes: 10:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Trolley Shuttle to the Physick Estate for senior citizens and others needing transportation on Tuesdays and Thursdays run round trips between Ocean Street (opposite the Washington Street Mall) and the Physick Estate. This shuttle service is free of charge to persons purchasing Physick Estate Tour Tickets, and runs on the following schedule: Tuesday, May 28 — 10:15 a.m., 11 a.m., 11:45 a.m., and 12:30 p.m.; Thursday, May 30 — 10:15 a.m., 11 a.m., 11:45 a.m., and 12:30 p.m.

COLD SPRING - Historic Cold Spring Village will open for the season with an antique show and sale to begin Friday and last through Memorial Day weekend.
