Cape Spotlighted On '85 Directory

A view of pleasure craft lined up at a Cape May marina is an attractive part of a photographic montage adorning the cover of the 1985 Cape May telephone directory which will be delivered beginning June 3. "New Jersey Bell Serv- ' ing New Jersey" is the cover theme for the directory. "The montage on the cover shows scenes representing the three serving areas within w^ich New Jersey Bell provides telecommunications service," said William E. Sturm Jr., the company's community relations manager "New Jersey Bell handles all calls made within each serving area, while calls made between serving areas are handled by long distance carriers. •ONE OF the photographs captures a group of canoeists in Wharton State Forest, in the Delaware Valley Serving Area . THE CUSTOMER Guide — the directory's first 28 pages — includes information on local and short distance calling, establishing new local service. repair service, home wiring options and billing The exchanges in each serving area are listed beginning on page 22. In addition, moneysaving tips, services for disabled customers, and sample rates for short distance calls within the serving area are included. The guide also lists New Jersey Bell payment centers and other authorized payment agencies. ALSO APPEARING in the customer guide is a new section called "Who Furnished My Telephone Service?" It includes information on who supplies local and short distance calling, telephone equipment and long distance service. The directory's inside front cover includes a list of local fire and police emergency numbers and spaces for other frequently called telephone numbers. Zip Code information for the post offices in the area served by the directory is at the end of the Yellow Pages section. The directory's cover photos — and others — also appear in the Vacation Kit produced by the State of New Jersey's Division of Travel and Tourism.
