Memorial Day Services Set
Several local organizations have announced plans for Memorial Day services next week: •Middle Township Mayor Michael Voll will speak during a 7:30 a.m. nagraising ceremony Monday at Thurston Elmer Wood American Legion Post 138 home, Hand Avenue and ; Dias Creek Road, Court j House. At 8 a.m. Monday, Court House and Stone Harbor
legionnaires will meet for services at Evans corner, Clermont; 8:15 at SouthDennis Cemetery; 8:30 at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Goshen; 8:45 at Goshen Methodist Cemetery; 9 a.m. at Whitesboro Cemetery; 9:15 at Court House Baptist Cemetery; and at the post home at 9 Led by the Middle Township High School Mar-
ching Band, the legionnaires will parade through h Court House and return to t the Post 198 home for memorial services, i • Peterson-Little I Veterans of Foreign Wars i Post 386 of Cape May plans a special ceremony, for Vietnam vets 1 p.m. Mon1 day in the West Cape May Park. American Legion Post 193 and the county Sheriff's Office color guard will take part in the service along with members of Post 386. The Rev. Forrest Spriggs of Cape Island Baptist Church will present the invocation. • County officials mark Memorial Day with 2 p.m. services Monday at the Veterans' Memorial Park and Cemetery, off. Refreshments will be served later at the county park, off Routes 9, Court House. • Cqbperating with the county Veterans' Bureau and the Lower Township Chamber of Commerce, the local chapter, Daughters of America, plans Memorial Day services on the- traditional date. They will be held 11 a.m. at the Rotary Club memorial to Vietnam veterans Township Hall, 2600 Bayshore Rd„ Villas. The 70-member Richard M. Teitelman School band, and honor guard from the local VFW post and township officials are expected at the ceremony.
