Chamber Derby On i For Drum, Weak fish 1

The Lower Township Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring its annual Black Drum-^eakfish Derby in Delaware Bay May 21-June 3 for party, charter and private boat anglers as well as surf fishermen. Chamber president Stu Milliard announced the annual event and said angler would compete for over $1,000 in prizes and trophies in the weakfish and black drum divisions. Pre-regis-tration and a $1 .50 entry fee are required from each angler. Registration applications are available at area tackle shops. First prize in the weakfish and the drum events is $250 in cash and a trophy. The name of the winner in each division will also be inscribed on the permanent trophies to be on display in the Lower Township Municipal Hall. IN ADDITION to the two first prizes, there will be prizes awarded for the second, thirds, fourth and fifth place drumfish and the second, third, fourth and fifth place weakfish. Other prizes will be awarded. Anglers can fish anywhere in the Delaware Bay and must weigh their fish at one of the official weighmasters prior to the deadline of 6 p.m. Monday, June 3. The contest starts at 6 a.m. Friday. May 24. Fish can be caught from private, charter and party boats or from the surf. Fish caught from the jetties from Wildwood to Reed's Beach are also eligible.

Wildwood Offering 1 Workouts WILDWOOD — Beginning t Saturday at 10 a.m., and continuing through Labor Day ' weekend, a member of the • Wildwood Beach Patrol will give half-hour exercise sessions on the Lincoln Avenue i beach. Everyone is invited — i guests, tourists, visitors and i residents. The only requirei ment is a desire to have fun and to start the day with an activity. A special kick-off exercise class will be held 2 p.m. tomorrow. Local businesses, schools, and organizations are invited to have their staffs and students participate, wearing a t-shirt with the name of their organization on it.
