Vo-Tech Students Win State Honors
COURT HOUSE - The Cape May County Vocational Career Center VICA Club brought home the gold from the New Jersey State Leadership Conference and . Skill Olympics. The event, sponsored by the New Jersey Chapter of Vocational Industrial Clubs of America, was held in April at Mercer County Vocational Schools. Trenton. The Vocational Career Center was represented by 19 students who competed in various trade and leadership contests. The competition, open to vocational students from the entire state, involved 1,200 students in 38 contests. The contests are planned by a technical committee made up of representatives of labor and management and are designed to test the skills needed for successful performance in a given occupational field. IN THE LEADERSHIP development contest area. . individual first place gold medals were won in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies Contest. The team consisted of Rose Adoranto. president. VICA is the national organization for trade, industrial, and technical students. Its members humber almost 280,000 in 13.000 clubs in 50 states and territorial associations, including Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

L STONE HARBOR - Cape May County is getting a new night club with the opening this weekend of Touche. in the Shelter Haven Motel here The club has enough room for 500 to party, plus a large deck overlooking the bay. It is planned to hold happy hours featuring unlimited free shrimp and a hors d'oeuvre buffet 4-7 p.m. daily. TOl'CHE IS the brainchild of Hospitality Investments.
