Children's Hunt Aided By Utility
PLEASANTVILLE - Atlantic Electric has joined in a national campaign to help solve the problem of missing children by enclosing inserts with photos and descriptions of abducted children along with their monthly electric bills. Each year in this country, approximately 1.8 million children are reported missing. "We reach 340,000 households in Southern New Jersey each month," said Raymond Gage, manager of consumer affairs iot Atlantic Electric. "If we cah help find even one of those children. or prevent others from being abducted, we will consider this program a success." : INFORMATION is being supplied to the utility by the r National Child Watch Campaign Hie campaign is placing photos of the same two children in approximately 30 million households
throughout 42 states. Atlantic Electric began inserting leaflets depicting the photos and descriptions of two missing children with this month's bills. The leaflet instructs anyone recognizing the children to call a toll-free number for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The reverse of the leaflet lists seven tips from the National Child Watch Campaign on "how to protect your child."
