| Avalon Club Sets • '85 Flower Show

AVALON - The Avalon Garden Club reminds all flower growers and flower lovers that its 1985 flower show, "A La Carte", will be , held 1-5 p.m. Wednesday, « June 5, in Avalon Community Hall. Greeting visitors at the entrance will be a garden created by Bonnie and Peter Atkinson of the Avalon Flower and Garden Shop on Rte. 9. New at this year's show « will be a Ways and Means table under the chairmanship of Mrs Pauline Mur- / phy. Various items from Roast Beef AVALON - The Avalon Methodist Church will hold its annual roast beef supper. -.4-6:30 p.m. Saturday June 8 Tickets are available from members, and will also be sold at the door. For more information, call 967-4204. Card Party STONE HARBOR - The Women of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 93rd and Third Avenue, will sponsor a card party 12:30 p.m. Thursday. The Rosemary House in Mechanicsburg, Pa. will be available for sale to the public. INCLUDED ARE packets of herb design postcards, mixes for dips and Roastmary (a unique, dried herb mix created by Mrs. Bertha Reppert, owner of The Rosemary House). There will also be a White Elephant table of containers and vases donated by garden club members. Mrs. Emily Aprill of Learning's Run Botanical Garden in Swainton has donated an Award for the best of show winner in artistic classes. A gift certificate from the W. Atlee Burpee Co., Warminster, Pa. has been donated by them for the best of show winner in the horticulture section. PARTICIPATION in the flower show is limited to Avalon Garden Club members and their offspring but everyone in the community is welcome to enjoy a cup of fruit punch and browse among the flowers. There is no admission charge. The Avalon Community Hall is at 30th Street and the beach. Food Sale VILLAS — The Women of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church will hold a food sale at the First National Bank'of Toms River, Villas branch. Bayshore Road, starting at 9:15 a.m., Monday, June 3.
