_ Musical Duo Back

CAPE MAY — Musicians - Bill Hesketh and Patti Finch are returning to the Jersey shore for a two- - week engagement at the Crystal Room of the Atlas Motor Inn, Beach Drive. Bill and Patti, currently based in Fort Myers _ Beach, Fla., have spent ' many years playing to auI diences in South Jersey. Before the duo's move - south this past October, Patti had racked up 11 years working in this area - and was perhaps best I known for her stint with ' "Legacy", which was led -j by her father, Skip Finch. Bill characterizes the duo as a dance band that - creates a relaxed atmosphere and encourages a lot of fun. Their unique musical style encompasses the authentic sounds of the _ Big Band era (Bill has played with bands of Calendar Art Show At Village COLD SPRING - A students' Calendar Art Contest and Show will be held Saturday at Historic Cold Spring Village, Seashore Road, sponsored by the Cape May County Cultural and Heritage Commission and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. There will be representation by 13 of the public and private schools in the county and approximately 400 entries. The village opens at 10 a.m. Judging will be in the morning and the award ceremony will take place in the Gazebo at 12:30 p.m. The winners of the contest < 12 for each calendar month and one cover piece) will have their work reproduced in a calendar which will be available through participating schools in the fall. Cub Scout Day Sunday STONE HARBOR - Sun day. noon to 5 p.m. will be Cub Scout Day at Harbor Place, the play park at 9505 Third Ave. For an admission fee at the gate, kids of all ages may climb the nets, play in the sea of balls, ride the giant slide, bounce in the air bag, and see the puppet shows. Proceeds will benefit activities of Cub Scout Pack 76, Bay Sea District.
