tion Hall. From that moment until around 10 a.m., the streets of our town will be commandeered by runners over 600 people, each with own goals and hopes, each a champion in his or her own way. Some will be psyched -up to be the one to break the tape. Others will be trying to be the first in one of 16 age group categories. For many, the goal will be just to cross the finish line, to better their own time for the distance, or to beat the course record. Whatever the goal, achieved or failed/ each is a hero, a winner, a story. THERE IS the lady running for the first time with a new hip implant. There is young Matthew Notch running for his friend Jamie Fiocca -pledges may still be made through Saturday morning by calling 884-4030, or by signing up at race registration. Be there to witness these heroes, or join them and set your own goals. Be your own champion!
