Lung Assn. Re-elects Lamanna COURT HOUSE - Louis J. Lamanna, health officer and public health coordinator of Cape May County, was re-elected vice president of the American Lung Association of New Jersey at the group's 79th Annual Membership Meeting May 29 at the Quality Inn Conference Center, North Brunswick. The association, part of the nation's oldest voluntary health organization, conducts the annual Christmas Seal Campaign to support its programs and services designed to combat and control lung disease, patient services for children and adults with long-term respiratory disorders, smoking cessation and air conservation programs. The association has its regional office at 10 West Main Street, Mays Landing. Lamanna has been a director of the Amerrican Lung Association of New Jersey since 1981. He attended Rutgers University and Central Michigan University, where he received his Bachelor and Master's Degrees. He is a member of the Tuckahoe Lions Club and the New Jersey Health Officers Association. Nuclear War Doctor's Topic COURT HOUSE - Dr Mark La vi ties, treasurer of the N.J. Physicians for Social Responsibility, will be the guest speaker at the next meeting of the Jersey Cape Coalition for Nuclear Disarmament. Dr. La vt ties, a professor at the University of Medicine in Newark, will talk about the medical consequences of nuclear war and will give a slide presentation. The meeting will be held 7:45 Tuesday, June 11, in the Public Room of the Cape May County Court House. The coalition urges local doctors, nurses and all interested people to attend.
