Cape May Offers Variety of Tours

CAPE MAY - Trolley, walking, and house museum i tours will be featured daily I in June in the nation's oldest seashore resort, the Mid-At- I lantic Center for the Arts (MAC) will sponsor: ] Trolley Tours of the National Landmark District I Saturdays and Sundays, beginning at the Trolley Station, Beach Drive at Gurney Street. On weekdays, they 1 begin at Ocean Street, opposite the Washington Street Mall. In June, MAC will offer two distinct trolley tours: THE HISTORIC East End P. Tour — includes the historic Physick Estate, two Victorian hotels — the Chalfonte | (the oldest) and the Coloni- [ al (the newest) — picturesque Columbia Avenue, busy Ocean Street, and Hughes Street, the oldest residential street in the city. The East End tour will depart on the following schedule: Saturdays — 10:30 a.m. noon and 1:45 p.m; Sundays — 10:30 a.m., noon , and 1 :45 p.m. ; Mondays — i 10:30 a.m. and noon; Wednesdays — 10:30 a.m. noon I and 1:45 p.m.; Fridays — 10:30 a.m. and noon. The Historic West End Tour includes stately Con- , gress Hall, the graceful > Huntington House, the faImous Pink House, quaint Congress Place, unique Perry street, and the aligni ed porches of Decatur y Street. c The West End Tour will y depart on the following schedule: Saturdays — 11 : 15 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. ; Sundays — 11:15 a.m. and 1 p.m.; Mondays — 11:15 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.; Wednesdays — 11:15 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.; Fridays — 11:15a.m. and 12:45 p.m. WALKING Tours of the National Landmark District are designed for those who like history close-up and in detail. Knowledgeable guides led visitors on a stroll down many of the historic streets. These tours provide an intimate insight into Cape May's past, present, and future. Tours begin at the information booth at the head of the Washington Street Mall (at Ocean Street) on the following schedule: Saturdays — 10 a.m. ; Sundays — 10 a.m. ; Tuesdays — 11 a.m.; Thursdays — 10 a.m. Tours of the Emlen Physick Estate 1048 Washington Street, This Stick Style Mansion, designed by Frank Furness and built in 1881, contains a meticulously restored Victorian House Museum. These tours run on the following schedule:

Saturdays — every 45 minutes: 10:30 a.m. - 2:15 Sundays — every 45 minutes: 10:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. Tuesdays — every 45 minutes: 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 ; Thursdays — every 45 minutes: 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Trolley shuttle to the Physick Estate: As a service for senior citizens and others needing transportation, a trolley shuttle on Tuesdays and Thursdays runs round trips between Ocean Street (opposite the Washington Street Mall) and the Physick Estate The shuttle service is free of charge to persons purchasing Physick Estate Tour tickets, and runs on the following schedule: Thursdays — 10:15 a.m. 11 a.m. 11:45 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1:15 p.m.; Thursdays — 10: 15 a.m., 11 a.m. 11:45 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. 11 " r — — —

Antique Shows CAPE MAY -A series of antique shows to be held at Convention Hall 10 a.m.- 10 p.m. Mondays through July 29 at Convention Hall has been announced by Menei Antique Shows.
