Museum To Open June 29 SEA ISLE CITY - The city's Historical Society will open the municipality's first museum, in a rebuilt building behind City Hall, 4416 Landis Ave., 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29. The museum, a long-time dream, is an outgrowth of the 1982 Sea Isle City Centennial Celebration. "Our centennial celebration helped focus attention on the city's past and so many residents donated photos and items pertaining to our history, we felt there should be a permanent display," said former centennial chairman Dick Alliger. PROFITS FROM centennial events and projects were used to get the museum started. The city gave an old garage building behind City Hall, and the Murphy-Federico Construction Co. donated manpower and materials to convert the garage into the museum, Alliger said. The museum will be officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony June 29. Many public officials have been invited, and the public is urged to attend. y t >f
