A standing-room only crowd of children and adults attended the Middle Township Chamber of Commerce Clean Up Campaign Coloring and Poster Contest Awards Presentation at the County Library June 3. Coloring Contest winners from Elementary School 1 were Stephen Moore, first ; Brian Gass, second; and Jennifer Chew, third in kindergarten. Andrew Urie. first; David Gittle. second; and Gloria Werner, third in first grade. Jennifer MacLeod, first; Sonal Mehta. second; and Paul Bennett, third in second grade. Jennifer Woodruff. first; Laurie Rittersbach. second; and Ronald Cherry, third in third grade Chuck Weiland, first; Shanlon Freeman, second, and Erica Williams, third in transitional first. WINNERS FROM Elementary School 3 were Scott Campbell, first; Wendell Cisco, second: and Jacky Hills, third in fourth grade. Jennifer Corson, first; Danielle Slack, second; and Michael Vanaman, third in fifth grade. Dwayne Shockley. first in Mrs. Roberta Hoffman's class. Poster Contest winners in the Junior Division from Elementary School 3 were: Monica Jackson, first; Tina Watson, second; and Betty Hopp. third. Senior Division winners from the Middle School were Bob Rinier, first; Kenny Merritt, second; and Steve Cooper, third. BEST OVERALL winners included fourth grader Scott Campbell in the coloring contest and eighth grader Bob Rinier in the poster contest. Each will receive a $50 Savings Bond in addition to their gigantic purple prize ribbons and "Stowie's Keep It Clean Kids" K.I.C.K. Club Membership Certificates. / The certificates were designed by Ed Ayres for the Board of Freeholders. All first prize winners received blue ribbon badges while the second and third prize winners each received red and yellow "Texas sized" ribbon badges. ROSE JOHNSON and Betty Jean Jesuncoskv were the co-chairpersons of this event. This contest was held in conjunction with Spring Clean-up Day May 18. Ross Photography, Avalon Real Estate, Court House Pizza, Mister Donut, Scull's Inc., 4-H Foundation Extension Service Office and Smith Family Bootery . all in Court House, and Menz's Restaurant in Rio Grande displayed the winning coloring contest entries. First Jersey National Bank, Marine National Bank, Sturdy Savings & Loan. Cape May County Savings & Loan, and First National Bank of Toms River, Court House, displayed the winning poster contest entries. The two best overall entries were displayed in Middle Township Hall. Ben Weimer of Court House was named Citizen of the Month at the JCourt House Kiwanis Club dinner meeting May 23. The club's citizenship chairman Ray Burke awarded Weimer an appreciation certificate, weimer and his wife Ruth have taken into their home un underprivileged Kiwanis

sponsored exchange student from the Bahamas for a year while he attends Middle Township High School. Weimer is also a member of the Kiwanis Club. We wish our friends Pat and Elvina Riley of Del
