Awards Presented ] At S.J. Christian

) ERMA — Academic, good ) conduct, and sports awards \ were presented to South C Jersey Christian Academy / students last week at end-of-year awards presentations and at Kindergarten Graduation Academic Excellence awards were given to first graders Matthew Crean. Bethany O'Neal, and Jenny Woods for their efforts in the 1984-85 school year JennyWoods also received the class' Good Shepherd Award. In presenting the awards teacher Mrs. Carol Levai emphasized that while awards were few. all the students in the classroom worked hard during the year, and all warranted recognition SECOND GRADE teacher Robin Hughes presented Academic Achievement Awards to: Miken Johns. Windsor Johnston. Holly Goer. Lisa lannucci. and George Clark. She also presented Academic Improvement awards to two students who showed substantial progress during their year's studies: Dawn Mason, and Wally Harris. Her "Good Apple" award t for good classroom conduct, similar to the Good Shepherd Award in first

grade) went to Miken Johas. Mrs. Norma Harrison presented her third graders with several awards: Outstanding Achievement to thos? with the highest academic records went to Brooke Roberts. Laurie Evoy. Scott Harrison, and Kristie Woods; Academic Achievement Awards for those in the second academic rank went to Doug Canova. Kristy Hughes. Karl Herman. Jessica Newell. Ernie Mirabella. and Amy Reichle DOIT. CANOVA and Amy Reichle also, receive Academic Improvement Awards for their progress during the year. Fisherman Awards i for good conduct ) went to Doug Canova. Kristie Woods, and Laurie Evoy Linda Esher. fourth-fifth grade teacher, presented "All A s" Outstanding Academic Awards to KerryWoods and Charissa Ricketts. and "All A & B" Outstanding Academic Awards to Thomas (largest. Amy Cloer, Billy Clark. Karen Ruonanni. and Cory Brant. "Most Improved" Award went to Kimberly Beiber. and the Citizenship award went to Nathan Douglass SIXTH AND seventh grade teacher Charles Woods presented Outstanding Academic Performance Awards to three of his students who had all A s and B's all year: Heather Harrison. Heather O'Neal, and Julie Esher. Outstanding Citizenship awards went to Harry Johnson. Heather O'Neal. Heather Harrison, and Julie Esher Kindergarteners graduating June 4 included Erik Collins. Christopher Daily. Kristen Fontaine, Bunny Kane. Shane Leipold. Erick Nece. Heather Kopp, Shannon Polst. Jennifer Stewart, and Erin Williams. Sports awards given at an awards chapel June 3 were based on the players' skills, as well as their leadership abilities and conduct on the playing field FOR SOCCER. Athletic Awards were given to Bill Clark, for being an aggressive player but having fewhassles despite his hard play. Thomas Hargest. best all-around player; Josiah DeMusz, second best player Certificates of Merit were given to two soccer players : Charissa Ricketts. most improved player; and Kerry Woods, for excellent play on defense. "David Awards" are given to those players who have exhibited a Christ-like attitude in their play and relations with other players In soccer, they went to: Amy Cloer. Thomas Har gest. and Kerry Woods The "Joshua Award" is given for players showing outstanding leadership ability In soccer it went to team Cap^ tain Jason Ricketts. For Softball the awards were: Jason Ricketts. Joshua Award; Nate Douglass. David Award; and Heather O'Neal, Athletic Award for most improved lllL
