Stone Harbor Songs Available on Record

CAPE MAY - There's an answer for those people — whether locals or tourists — who don't hear enough musical tributes to Stone Harbor in the summer J. George Johnson, who wrote the music to both popular songs, has 1,000 45 rpms available at two bucks a record. On one side of the Green Dolphin label pressing: "Stone Harbor, I'll Always Love You," whose words and music Johnson wrote in 1974 On the other side, "Stone Harbor, Little Old Town," whose music Johnson wrote in 1984, with his wife, Anne, providing the lyrics. BOTH ARE MEMBERS of ASCAP (American Society of Composers. Authors and Publishers). Johnson, who plays the piano weekends in Henny's in Stone Harbor, can be counted on to offer both

songs at least twice a night. The former, being older, is the better known: "S is for the seashore, T is for the tide..." But the latter is catching on and closing fast. Johnson maintains. Johnson has been known to invite talented customers to share the 1 microphone at Henny's, and one of his frequent signers. Susan DeLuca of ^ Pittsburg, came up with i the idea of producing the A record. ® SHE GOT TOGETHER a group dubbed the Stone Harbor Coral which provided the backup to her vocalizing and the record became a reality. It will be available at ■ Henny's and at any other ' place that wants to sell it, I Johnson said. He's been playing piano since he was 12; Anne has been writing poetry since she was seven. They met in high school, eloped in 1935, and have been collaborating every since. The result : four children and more than 500 songs, 65 of them published. One of the biggest hits, "Only the Broken Hearted," sold 400,000 recordings.
