The daughters of Mrs. Lynne Buonnani of Court House were on hand Saturday during the Spring Fling animal presentation at The Wetlands Institute.

Softball Bats Are Booming

CAPE MAY - Charlie s Place inched closer to first place as it won all three of its games this past week in Cape May American League Softball action. The highlight of the week was Charlie's Place 10-7 win over previously undefeated U.S.C.G. Bears. Earlier in the week Charlie's Place defeated Cape Radiology 0-1 and the Chief Petty Officers. The Press collected 26 hits as it defeated the Cape May Coasties 17-7 while Steve Jungwirth went 4-4. OTHER offensive standouts included John Lambert. Walt llartem, Bob Foltz, Phil Heckler and Ken Laricks, who each had 3 hits. Heckler and Laricks also had home runs. Kindle Ford moved up in the standings as it won all its games this past week including a 33-3 win over the Chief Petty Officers. In that game Frank Seabrook had 3 hits including a home run; Tom Poponack had 4 hits while Jim Hand had 5 hits including a home run. SOUTHERN Jersey Air ways defeated All Medical Supply 23-0 as Southern Jersey Airways got home runs from Ed Szigeti, Mark Wautersand BobRysak. In other games Kindle Ford defeated Cape Radiology 16-13, the U.S.C.G. Bears defeated Kindle Ford 16-1. U.S.C.G. EECEN split its two games, defeating Southern Jersey Airways 10-3 but losing 4-3 to The Tennis Clinic In Cape May CAPE MAY — A tennis clinic will be offered as part of its summer recreation schedule. It will be a 10-week course to start June 24, and will be held Monday. Wednesday and Friday 10 a.m. - noon. The first hour will consist h of instruction for ages 7-11 and the second hour will be for ages 12 and older, with instruction being provided by Charles Wise Sr. Further information £an be obtained by calling the Department of Civic Affairs at 884-8411, ext. 20 or J 27.
