Lecture On Toxic Wastes STONE HARBOR - The illegal disposal of toxic waste materials has been a paramount concern of the resident of New Jersey in recent months, especially in the southern New Jersey area. Steven J. Madonna, deputy attorney general, will address the sensitive issue of illegal toxic waste disposal in his presentation "Environmental Prosecutionsthe Role of the Local Citizen" 8: 15 p.m. Saturday, at the Wetlands Institute. THE PRESENTATION is designed to acquaint citizens with the signs and symptoms of illegal transportation, storage, and disposal of hazardous wastes, and the role they play in detection and the enforcement of laws. Madonna has been the chief of the environmental prosecutions section of the New Jersey Department of Criminal Justice for the past four years, and is nationally recognized as an expert in the field. The weekly Saturday night lecture series begins with Madonna's program and will continue throughout the summer. For further information, phone 368-1211. Betrothal VILLAS - Local residents Mr. and Mrs. Robert K. Hartley have announced the engagement of their granddaughter, Tammy Jan Hopkins, to Kurt Waddington, son of Patricia and Thomas Waddington The bride-to-be is a 1982 graduate of Lower Cape May Regional High School, and is attending George Ann's School of Modeling. She is employed by the Cape May County Municipal Utilities Authority as a weighmaster. Waddington is a 1981 graduate of Lower Cape May Regional and is employed by Midas Muffler and Brakes. No date has been set for the wedding.
