Letter Winners In Drama

ERMA — In keeping with its tradition of recognizing excellence in the arts, Lower Cape May Regional High School recently awarded the following graduating seniors varsity letters in dramatics: Jazz Stars I Featured On July 4 WlLDWOOD - Maynard Ferguson and his band plus the Count Basie Orchestra under the direction of Thad Jones will share center stage Thursday. July 4, at the Wildwood Convention Hall. Showtime is scheduled for 8 p.m. with seating to begin at 7 o'clock. Tickets are available at all ticketron, teletron locations and at the convention hall box office. Recognized as truly a "legend in his own time." Ferguson has become a favorite of three generations, featured as the high note trumpet man for Stan Kenton in the early 50's, where he first gained national exposure. Sharing the stage is the legendary Count Basie Orchestra under the direction of Thad Jones, who aside from being a trumpeter of exceptional ability is also a world renowned composer and arranger. Tickets will be available at the door Cold Spring Will Face 'Invasion ' COLD SPRING - Head for the hills as the Daniel Morgan Rifle Company invades Historic Cold Spring Village Saturday and Sunday The company will Historic Cold Spring Village Saturday and Sunday The company will perform throughout both days, skirmishing as well as displaying the actual drills once used in battle during the Revolutionary War. The shows will run throughout the two days beginning ab out noon. Historic Cold Spring Village is a preservation of 15 original buildings moved to the Cold Spring site. They house various craft shops such as a tinsmith, blacksmith, and printer as well as the Old Grange restaurant. The Village is at 735 Seashore Rd., half a mile north of the Seashore RoadFerry intersection. It is open daily 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and admission is $1.00 for an adult season pass.
