Hot's Out; Cold's In

COURT HOUSE - It's out with the hot and in with the cold at Cape Human Resources Inc. The federally-sponsored organization has changed its hot lunch program to a "Brown Bag" summer nutrition program that began Monday "The change will enable the agency to reach more sites and more people." said David G. FothergillQuinlan, planning and developmental coordinator. The lunch service was reaching 200, but with the change will be able to reach up to 350 youth. Some of the extra people the brown bags will reach are those in the Summer Youth Employment Program Its counselors transport the workers to the food sites. Pothergill-Quinlan said that the participants will have an evaluation form in each lunch, each day

> Although he realizes that i demands for peanut butter i and jelly five times a week, cannot be answered, he 1 believes the "instant" I evaluation will be helpful. "We can see what the children really like." he said. Cape Human Resources Inc. has added two sites for food distribtuion to its program this summer, in Ocean City and Cape May Fothergill-Quinlan said the sites are "beautifully located", near where the children live. # "YOU COULDN'T ASK for a better area." he said. Youth are eligible for the program if they are under age 18 and if they meet income standards set by the USDA. If they were part of the free school lunch program during the school year, they can automatically become a part of the summer lunch program.
