t Cape Human Resources, Inc. will have a distribution of vegetable plants, l to 3 p.m. Friday at its three multi-service divisions: Whitesboro Division, Main Street, Whitesboro, 465-4531; Wildwood Division, 115 W. Davis Ave., Wildwood, 522-0231; Wood- 1 bine Division, Longfellow and Monroe Streets, 861-2816. According to Bernice H. Gordon, executive director, tomato, pepper, eggplant, cucumber, and parsley plants will be available to incomeeligible persons who qualify for U.S. Government surplus commodity distributions (cheese, milk, butter, etc.). TYPES AND amounts of plants may vary and are offered free of charge on a first come, first served basis. Champagne Fling Nets $37,000 RIO GRANDE - Champagne Fling XIV, a fundraiser to benefit the American Cancer Society, raised over $37,000 to be contributed to the Cape May County Unit. This represents a 34 percent increase over last year's proceeds. This annual event combines an auction of unusual gifts and services with an afternoon of champagne, hors d'oeuvres and music. Ricwrd Bey of KYW ' TV's People Are Talking hosted the affair while Barry Slosberg conducted the auction. Some of the most popular items included an original painting, a sunfish, a tri-colored necklace and a clam bake for 40. Generous contributions were made by Horizon Bank and Heritage Bank, which had not been previously publicly acknowledged. Commissioned COURT HOUSE - David W. Romig, son of Mr. and Mrs. William F. Romig Jr. of 1 Darrot Dr.. has been commissioned a second lieutenant through the Air Force ROTC program, and » earned a bachelor's degree from Grove City College, Pa.
