ERMA — In support of the total missionary effort of Tabernacle Methodist Church, the Faith Promise Program will begin June 30 with Rev. Fred Yazzie as special guest speaker. Rev. Yazzie is the only Navajo Indian to receive full training and ordination in the Methodist Church. He is a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary and holds a Master of Divinity.
HE HAS SERVED several pastorates in the New Mexico conference, and was evangelist to his own people on the Navajo reservation. He is on the staff as associate minister of First United Methodist in Ship Rock NM. He is also chaplain of Ship Rock Public Service Hospital. He will speak morning and evening to kick off the church's 16-week emphasis on missions. The theme of the Faith Promise Program is "Darkness to Light", and progress will be shown on a 12-foot hour glass. The program will conclude with a
Missionary Conference in October, when Terry Schnake, a veteran missionary to Indonesia, will be the speaker.

Summer Church To Open SEA ISLE CITY - Trinity Community Lutheran Church of Townsends Inlet, 85th and Landis Avenue, will open with Sunday School at 9 a.m. Sunday for the summer months through Labor Day, followed by morning worship at 10 o'clock.
