Celebrate 60th
KIO GRANDE -Mr and Mrs. Robert Stebbins celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary June 20. 1985. Mrs. Stebbins. Lillian, was born to William and Emma Harris in Rio Grande in 1906, and has lived in Rio Grande all of her life. Robert was born to James and Annie Stebbins in Franklin City. Va. in 1907 and was brought to the County at a very early age. His father served as Coast Guard captain at several bases from Ocean City to Wildwood. The Stebbins still reside at the property where they were married in 1925 They are charter members of Grace Gospel Chapel, hav ing t>een enrolled in 1948. and still remain active. Their pastor. Milton Wilson presented them with a gift from many friends at the chapel, and expressed the most sincere good wishes of the entire congregation The Stebbins have one daughter. Mary .Ann Wagner, three grand children and two great - v. grandchildren For the anniversary. Mrs Wagner took them to her home in Wilmington where they
were entertained by the Wagners and the other members of their family
Township Seeks Input On Funding COURT HOUSE - The Township of Middle will conduct a public hearing on 7 p.m. July 2 at the township building at 33 Mechanic St., to discuss a possible application to the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs for 1985 Small Cities Community Development funding. The purposes of the hearing will be to solicit citizen input on Community Development needs and to explain a proposed water main extension to benefit the township's SwaintonSiegetown Road neighborhood. It is anticipated that an application for up to $350,000 will be submitted to the state by July 31 All citizens are invited to attend and to provide oral and/or written comments.
