TURNERSVILLE - The . Wildwood Crest Swim f Team upended the Birchwood Swim Team June 29 by the margin of onlytwo points. "The battle for the lead went back and forth throughout the meet." said Head Coach Dave Hart. "Birch was winning by five points up until the last event, which we won to give us the meet." Taking four first places apiece in the Dolphins' 247-245 victory were Angela Cotellese. 100 yd free. 50 back. 50 fly, and free relay ; Marcea Huemer. 50 yd breast. 50 fly and two relays: Chrissy Zanrtich. 25 free. 25 bapk and two relays; Monica Simpson. 100 yd free. 100 IM, and two relays: Joe Blong. 100 IM. 50 free. 50 back. 50 fly and free relay, and Leslie Salt, 25 breast. 25 fly and two relays. TAKING THREE 1st place finishes each for the Dolphins were: Bernie Simpson. Kelly Haynes. Heather Dillon. Christine I. a s k e y and Kelly DeTemple. Those who took a 1st place swimming in their first meet ever were Ryan Haynes. Kevin Unruh. Jim Cuddhy. Patty Temple. Christina Kennedy. Kelly Haynes. Joe Bresan and Rich Demers. The Dolphins took 31 first places in what turned into the team's 1st dual meet victory of the year. Checkers' Incentive Plan Set SEA ISLE CITY - Deputy Mayor William H. VanArtsdalen, Jr., has set up ail incentive program for the beach tag checkers in the resort. VanArtsdalen will reward checkers with 550 Savings Bonds Labor DayNamed "The Commissioner VanArtsdalen Salesmanship Awards the bonds will be presented to beach tag checkers who sell the highest amount of beach tags in their areas, another to the checker who sells the most tags in one day. and still another award will be given the checker who sells the most tags during the season. •THESE DEDICATED individuals who insure that : our beach tag ordinance is strictly enforced deserve some recognition for their service to Sea Isle City." Commissioner VanArtsdalen noted. "I offer this incentive to our beach tag checkers in order that they will work even harder to collect these funds for our city". All persons using the city beaches are required to wear beach tags, and the checkers' job is to see the ordinance is enforced. They also participate in a program to keep the Sea Isle City beaches clean. Beach tags are available at the office in the Raffa Community Center, 125 John F. Kennedy Boulevard. The rates are $3 per day for a fraction of the week or a week, and $7 per season per person. Children 12 years of age and older are required to wear beach tags. i I I i

Each camper wilf receive a free soccer ball, camp shirt, camp patch, insurance. the opportunity to accept O'Malley's years of soccer knowledge and skills and the excitement of learning to play a super sport properly. Campers can register by calling Elaine at the Recreation Department (886-7880) during the day and Linda Taylor (886-3059) after 6 pm.
